Good to know
Board game cafés are underrated. Hundreds of games, coffee on the side, meet new people.
Tip
Choose the game for the group, not the complexity. Simple doesn't mean boring.
The best board game isn't the one you own but the one that fits: for three people, Codenames rather than Werewolf; for eight, Werewolf rather than Catan. The group decides the game.
Plan a game night with three games of different lengths: a 10-minute warm-up, a 60-minute main game, a 15-minute closer. Whoever has to leave early still got to play the main game.

One sheet of paper, one pen each — and a column that exists nowhere else.
Inspiration
The best evenings don't start with a plan. They start with "Who's up for a game?"
A small challenge
A game night this week — not “sometime”.
Break the ice
“What's the last game you totally lost at?”
“Which game brings out the most honest behavior in your friends — for better or worse?”
“Which player changes the most as soon as the dice are rolled — and in which direction?”
“Which board game makes you the most competitive — and do you recognize yourself in those moments?”
Right now
Getting cold outside — perfect game night season. Candles on, dice out.
