Guerilla Gardening
Facts, tips and ideas about Guerilla Gardening — and how to find people for it.

Guerrilla gardening began in 1973 in New York — Liz Christy and her “Green Guerrillas” threw seed bombs into abandoned lots on the Lower East Side. Today one of those gardens — the Liz Christy Garden — is an official city park.

Tip
Choose native plants. Exotic seeds need care; native ones survive drought, dog pee and vandalism — and attract local insects instead of displacing them.
